Got just a smidge over 11 miles today. It was a little muggy, but good to be active.
Trying to get my stamina back enough to ride in a nearby area that allows me 20-25 mile rides. Much prettier area...

I'd definitely strive for endurance for now. Especially with summer just around the corner. Speed will improve rather naturally.

I prefer not to ride in anything over 20. Especially if it's a gusty wind. It's not much fun and can be a bit dangerous on the narrow country roads I have to ride.

I hate it when they redo a road I like in chip seal like that. Depending on how well traveled it is, and how coarse the chip seal is, it could be many months before it smooths out.

Rest and ice was also what my doctor recommended. It took a while to clear up. I'd never felt anything like it before. Doc was certain it was caused by me jogging with hand weights.

Gave me a chuckle. Same here in north central Tx. Wind NW at 30, gusting to 40+ most of the day here. It goes from south to north all spring with the fronts rolling through.
