I believe Synchro shift is only available with a BT-DN110 or BM-DN100 unit. At least it was the case when I tried it.

Strip it down, get some ScotchBrite pads and scrub it. Once you've restored the frame you'll have no problem justifying spending money on the build. Or sell the frame for 200$ and be done with it!

It's a decal (a bit like paint) but there's no clear coat on it. GoofOff on a towel melts it off and it rubs off nicely. Nasty stuff though, make sure it's done outside. I think acetone would work...

Same here. Unless the parts are laser engraved, acetone or Goff Off makes the logos pretty much wipe off with a paper towel. I'd avoid using it on carbon of course.
