During this past weekends Dutch Formula1 Grand Prix, the announcer mentioned that 90% of the attendees arrived by bicycle!
If accurate, that's around 90,000 people arriving on bicycles to this...

In my experience, it works better if you start opposite the stem (YRMV).
Without the stem to deal with, you have just a little more space to recess the bead.

If you ever need to replace the cable you feed it through on the old cable, pull the old cable out, then feed the new cable thru in the tube.
