The history of a BMC Bottle. Thanks @Rollin

When I joined the forums 12 years ago, I had just bought a BMC SLC01 Promachine frame and was transferring all my Dura Ace groupset from my Devinci Imola and was asking mechanical questions to get tips and tricks to build the bike, cable lengths, indexing, etc. This was before there were 100 YouTube videos on every subject to explain everything.

There was a member here called rollin from Singapore who was riding the same bike as me https://www.bikeforums.net/members/rollin-66164.html
When he saw my post when I was asking where to buy BMC bottles to complete my bike, he instantly offered to send me 4 bottle via mail and didn’t even want me to send him money since he didn’t have PayPal. I ended up sending me money when I received the package with his address on it.
I still remember how much I thought cycling fans online were nice to each other and would be ready to help another fellow cyclist online and how a great community it was. After 12 years, I have lost a bottle during a road bike race competition, I have lot another while doing an Ironman, lost another while training in Arizona going down Mount Lemmon. However I still have one left and now I keep it in my cycling closet as a souvenir for all the years that went through. I used it on my 5 BMCs. SLC01 Promachine 01, TT03 Timemachine, TT02 Timemachine, Roadmachine 01, Roadmachine 01 One. Sold 1 of them, gave one to my nephew. But my wife wants me to keep the one I used for my racing career an the one I used for my Ironman, she says they belong to the family. I hope one day one of my 4 boys will have the fun to ride them like I had the fun to start racing on old vintage steel bikes that belonged to my dad.

Thanks again for everybody who is making any positive impact out there and my eternal respect to rollin and any other cyclist helping another fellow member.
