changing freehub, shimano 8,9,10,11 to microspline

Anyone change out a normal Shimano freehub to the new microspline?

doubtful. what advantage would that give you?

what specific hub is it? should have a model number with something like FH-M____.

I think they are FH-m7000

There's a huge advantage on doing the swap. It allows you to use a 10T sprocket.

it looks like the M7100 series has gone Micro Spline, but not the previous M7000. I'd be surprised if there's a modification possible as Shimano tends to design hubs to be set up only one way, unlike many other hub manufacturers that allow you to swap axles sizes and freehubs. If getting a 12-speed cassette with a 10t driver seems worth it to you, you probably need a new hub.

some DT Swiss hubs allow the swap, but not all of them.
