Saddle suggestions for MTB with child seat
I'm, in the process of converting my mountain bike into a kid-hauler. I've added a kid seat (a Yepp Maxi) and will be getting a kickstand and probably a basket soon. I went for a ride today, and noticed that my saddle, a WTB that's great for mountain biking, isn't so great when riding in street clothes.
Here's a picture of the bike, before I added the Yepp: https://farm7.staticflickr.com/6068/...0f0c4546cf.jpg I love the Brooks B-17 on my touring bike, but it'd take forever to break in another one of those with the short rides I do with the baby. Can anyone suggest some saddles that are comfortable in street clothes? |

Saddles that come on cruisers and town bikes are great for this, I bet every coop has a nice pile of them. I ran 1.5" slicks on my MTB for ages for a commuter, they work great for this. Far smoother than knobs on pavement. |

So why not just move it over?
Agreed about slicks, those are on the short list of upgrades. |
lots of Pleather covered saddles.. sit on a few till your butt votes for one. ..
Vinyl wont bleed color out, like leather , so your Khakis should only pick up the dirt you dont wash off your saddle . |
Selle SMP TRK. I've been on one for a year and a half, commuting daily in street clothes, with no issues.
