Diary of Strava

I thought such a topic would be helpful. "Road Bike Training Diary" Let's share our workouts here that day. If possible, a beautiful arrangement. So; Get a single message with a map and a slanted screenshot, a Strava link, a small narrative, photos and videos if available. Runtastic and similar programs can also be. I searched for such a topic but could not find it.

:popcornYou can "friend" as many people on Strava as you like. They'll be able to see your rides and you can see their rides. Self contained.

In Strava they call it "following" others. If you follow someone, their rides will show up on your activity feed. Typically you follow all your friends and they follow you, and you can give attaboys and make comments to support each other.

I have no friends using Strava, unfortunately

I think you will find that if a thread like that got going, about 90% of the posters would be positive and the other 10% would be insulting trash talkers. Arguing with the insulters would dominate the thread as they tend to post again and again.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'd rather see pictures and read descriptions of what it's like to ride in Turkey.

I agree. Would love to see more pics and description of the area you ride, so much history. No need to include the handlebars

Thank you for the suggestion. I wonder about other countries too.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but maybe take a few pictures of the places where you ride and post them along with descriptions of what you like about riding there. You could call the thread "What's it like where you ride?"

Good idea. Under which forum should I do this?

Mosyosalyangoz There are almost weekly "Weekend Ride Report" threads in the Road subforum - that's a great place to get started sharing your rides, if you're a road cyclist. Long-distance has an annual thread for sharing centuries (100+ mile, or 161+ km rides).

If you want to make friends on Strava, I'd start by joining some clubs. You may even have some reasonably local Strava clubs that will allow you to connect with other riders in your region.

You could post it in this forum if you want, especially if you do more than one kind of riding.

With that heading on the thread, I would expect some of the responses are going to be along the lines of "I do very little road riding because the roads here are so bad, but I...."

Thank you for the information. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I think you should add to one of the existing threads rather than start a new one with each ride report. Either that or start a thread in the Blogger section. :thumb:

Yes, each week, you can tell us about your rides on the Weekend Ride Report thread!

This is the most recent one: https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycl...y-11-12-a.html

Post lots of pictures. :)

"BJ" is BikeJournal.com It was one of the first sites that allowed you to log miles. It's still there, but not as well-attended as it used to be. It also includes a forum.
