Portland Bike Style in The Pearl
|
Portlandia!

shallow style , theres Puddles deeper than that.

The Pearl is nothing more than a middle-aged dorkfest these days. Way tooooo pricey. PDX hasn't been the same since they shut down the Alberta Clown house.
|
Yep, pretentious and affected.

Portland is an amazing cycling city and a lot of fun too. Until Sept 8th, the Portland Art Museum has an exhibition of bicycles called Cyclepedia iconic bicycle designs. They even have Moser's 51.151 funny bike.
http://www.portlandartmuseum.org/special/cyclepedia I'm going in the next couple of weeks. Anyone else going? It would be cool to see the exhibit with come C&V folks. Pip |
It's a style piece. What were you expecting?
|
Going to PDX in a few weeks, don't know if I can hit the exhibit.....

New York Times + Style Section = Silly Gobbledeegook. An amusing read for someone who has no intention of ever experiencing first hand what they are reading about.
[/former PDX resident] OTOH, anything in Portland is fair game. |

I'm going when I go to the Greg LeMond event (it will be cool to see him speak in person), I'm pretty excited, as I haven't been to the exhibit yet.

It appears the Pearl District attempts to mimic Brooklyn.
Yet The hipster parts of Brooklyn try to imitate Portland. Go figure! |
