Hey folks. This is a good video on bikepacking vs bike touring and how to get started. I know for one it was tough for me in deciding on what proper gear and bike to use. I mean sure, you can use any bike generally speaking but there is "The right tool for the job" bikes & setups that can save you from a whole world of hurt and failure when it comes to being out on the road. Planning is essential, so I hope this video can offer value to those who are just getting started.

Right off the bat I'm expecting a picture of a 29' mt. bike. rigid fork thing with big h-bar bag, frame bag and big seat bag, vs. a Trek 520 type drop-bar bike with racks and panniers - the good old traditional touring setup. I lost interest when I saw the photo. |
