Ceeeell-a-brate good times, c'mon! Bum bum bum, it's a celebration!

Fwiw I wear the windproof UA jogging pants over my cycling shorts, and a light UA upper underneath my jogging jacket. That's good for 32°f to 50°f thanks to its breathability.

39 degrees at 6:30 am here in CA. Expected high is 59, afternoon rain, gonna try to get out after it warms up, but before the rain. FWIW.

The weather girl on Ch. 4 this morning said this upcoming Friday is going to hit 60 here in Boston :roflmao:

Note: it was 10 degrees or less each morning this week. 60 sounds like heaven

It was 40F when I went out yesterday to shovel. I started with shorts, thin leggings, a thin merino shirt, and a jacket.

After 5 minutes that was too hot. I dumped the jacket. It was actually more like short sleeves weather (and I've really got to start working on my summer tan lines again.)

I have posted on a few threads,

This list is particularly useful at the changes of seasons from Winter to Spring and from Summer to Fall, as I start to acclimate between the seasons.

I have told a couple of colleagues at work about this scheme, so often when they ask me about the ride in, I can reply by the numbers..

40F is only the beginning of the story. 40 degrees in the dark with rain and wind? Frigid. 40 degrees and sunny with a tailwind? Balmy!

@jim_from_Boston, that sounds like a very helpful list, but it looks like it didn't get "hyper-linked." Would you mind re-posting? Thanks!

haha, yup, pretty much. was sitting on the couch trying to figure out what to do with my day & thought I would stir the pot at the dawn of a spectacular day. wound up meeting people who were ready ride, but there was way too much snow & ice lingering. the sunny temps were great tho!

35 degrees and windy here yesterday for a short ride. Felt AMAZING even riding into the wind. 35 degrees in March, especially after all the cold we had, feels so much warmer than 35 degrees in October!

I can't remember, however, the last time my legs were bare on a ride. Maybe September? Our cold weather seemed to come early this year. November was well below normal.

I have memories of picnicking in Arnold Arboretum on spring break, first week in March. 60 degrees, Dead grass, mud, no green to be seen anywhere and just the hint of buds on trees. But sunny and warm. Nearly 50 years ago.

I love Arnold Arboretum, I used to go for jogs there all the time. I've since moved to NW Boston Metro North, though

We are getting early signs of buds and some perennials are starting to "croak" through! Under a few inches of snow
