Ok, all you proud Flat Bar riders, let's see them.

*eagerly awaits the usual comments about how flatbar bikes inherently "upright" from freds who haven't used the drop portion of their bars since 2003*

There are very hard and steadfast rules as to just what differentiates a genuine road bike from that of degenerate variant, called a "hybrid"... :roflmao2:  |

lets see watts saved by Zipp 404's, around 10-20.
watts lost by flat bars 100 plus. |

Most of us learned in high school that acting out, simply for the sake of being unique was not terribly bright. |

So you aren't a sheep you just strive to be accepted by the "sheep". Now I understand. That is why you are posting those flat bar things in the road forum correct?

Anyone can put together a combination grossly inappropriate for the task at hand, and make himself unique because no one else is stupid enough to choose the completely wrong tool.

Has it been proving that flat bars are inherently less aero? At the same height, and the same width.
Doubt it - if anything it's easier to crouch down with palms facing down. |

Doubt it - if anything it's easier to crouch down with palms facing down. I guess that if your aero bars are the same height and width as the flats on my road bike there would be no difference in that one position. However, when in that position I am much less aero than in the hoods or the drops. |
