Site problem??

Starting yesterday when using my tablet the page jumps from the site to a listing of the forums and then back.
Any idea on what is going on?

jimincalif 03-13-19 09:49 AM

I noticed this too. Running Chrome on an iPad. Current IOS 12.whatever.

FBOATSB 03-13-19 10:12 AM

Me too. Chrome on an android phone. Kinda freaky, but doesn't stop me from using the site.

If I advance from one page to the next in the list of active threads, The forum list page flashes when I use the arrows at the bottom of the page. But if I use the arrow at the top of the page it doesn’t seem to happen.

Same here. Not working on Safari with a mac.
It works with Google Chrome.

Tech has been notified.

IBRyan 03-15-19 10:03 AM

I spoke with tech and it seems as though it may be a cache and cookies problem. I would suggest clearing cache and cookies, and in the meantime, we are monitoring the issue and looking into if there is another cause.

On my iPhone it seems like it shows the raw text first, and then formats it.

I have already done this.
Safari does not work. Google Chrome works.
With Safari works until I open a thread, and then it's blank screen.
I am on a Mac 2.9 i7 processor running latest Mojave 12.14.3 and Safari 12.0.3 with Ka-Block ad blocker and Box Tools required for work.
Just started doing this a couple days ago.

Same for me with chrome on Android. No biggie, but I'll try clearing my cache

Shimagnolo 03-15-19 02:51 PM

Well it is not a cache or cookie issue.
I wipe both from my iPhone first thing every morning.
And the first time I accessed BF this morning, I saw the issue.
It looks like the browser receives the page content and begins rendering it;
Then a moment later it receives the page formatting info, and re-renders the page.

IBRyan 03-15-19 03:10 PM

I was informed that the cache and cookies could be a reason why. I apologize everyone. Our team has been diligently working with our tech team to ensure that this problem does not persist. Thank you for your patience.

jimincalif 03-15-19 09:20 PM

Yeah, I wiped my cache when I noticed it, no change.

trailangel 03-16-19 11:41 AM

I had to disable my ad blockers to get the site to work.

Turn the blocker off and see what occurs. Then probably find a different blocker or use Firefox. I use a 12 year old Dell 32 bit PC here for Pete's sake, although who is Pete?

How many adblockers are you running? Are you referring to one in plural or do you have multiple blockers installed?

As I already said, find a different one if yours is a problem.

trailangel 03-17-19 01:33 PM

Hi Pete!
2 ad blockers installed. Only running one of them.
And something changed last week so I had to disable that one.
Working good now but while reading a thread the ads keep coming and shift the page while I'm reading it...... but hey, what do I want for free?

Me too. Thankfully I had Firefox. Safari doesn't want me over here at all.

Same issue here . Chrome on Android phone

Tandem Tom 03-18-19 06:03 AM

Wondering if this problem will be resolved or is this the future?

gauvins 03-18-19 11:28 AM

Something is definitely wrong. The immediate problem is likely caused by the late loading of the CSS. Would not be an issue if content was delivered fast. But now, on my mobile, there are a few seconds where I see unformatted html.

See here .Took almost 18 seconds to interactive ...

That would be my best guess as well.

Rollfast 03-18-19 02:42 PM

You did notice this that I posted for a similar thread?

Same issue after trying that. Thanks for trying to help though.
