Question about model and value of this Raphael Geminiani bike
 

Hello , i dont know anything about cycles/bikes.This bike came to me from my grandfather.He bought this to his child.Bike came between 1976-1981.I searched web but couldnt find any information about bike's model.Only thing is ;That is Raphael Geminiani.
I need model name and possible price/value of this bike atm ?

Your bike is a step through frame city bike. It's likely from the late 60's or early 70's. It is in nice condition and the lighting (if it works), mudguards, and full chain case each add value. Because it is not a high end racing bike the value isn't much. A step though, or lady's framed bike isn't worth as much as a men's framed bike. In my area I'd say it is worth $100-150 as is. But you may have to wait until the right person finds it.

Not all bike manufacturers gave their bikes model names or model numbers.

Raphael Geminiani was a famous French racer of the immediate postwar years.

Bicycles have been produced for a long period with his name because of the recognition.

There was no Raphael Geminiani factory per se.

The bikes were contract built from an assortment of makers.

"Most" of them come from France.

Yours is an Italian example as witnessed by items such as the Agrati "AM" lug set, Maccari rims, Mazzucchelli chainguaard & Super Rapid brake set.

In the photos it appears to be a juvenile model. Are you able to read a wheel size marking on the tyre sidewall or rim?

Am thinking wheel size might be something like 550A or 600A.

So from what i understand , 125 Dollar is normal value for this bike..

Tells us it was produced for export to the anglophone world.

If you could post images of frame details readers might be able to make some educated guesses as to who was the actual producer...if you care about that.

Interesting bike. Italian indeed. Brakes say "Bianchi", perhaps a clue if original. Bianchi did have a habit of using parts with their name on them. Many Italian bike makers made these "Olandese" models, though.

This example looks to be pretty complete and original, and would clean up nicely. $125 would be a fair price here in Holland.

I'd polish it, replace the saddle, and add a pair of these:
