I am looking for pictures of Durifort decals in good condition. Pictures taken from left to right preferably if possible.

See picture below. Must be the same type. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention this is a post war decal from around 1948.

Lovely little decal, wish I had an original to make a perfect reproduction.

ussalmon-

You don't need to. Repros are available here.

Hi there do you know where you can get those decals which look like a shield? regards George

bertinjim 04-16-24 09:10 AM

Hi, George-

The French seller on EBay who used to sell the shield style Durifort decal only shows an empty shop. The other decal makers I looked at had later versions but not the shield style. You might try Gus Salmon in the US. Search him on Facebook under Gus Salmon Decals. He does custom work and might be able to provide one. I have added a pic of the decal in case you need to reproduce it. They were used in the seat tube location as well as the fork blades.

Isn't member @ussalmon who posted above looking for an original actually Gus Salmon? In which case, he may be able to make a reproduction from the picture you posted.

Hi Bertinjim would there be any chance you could take a take a good straight super high resolution picture of that decal and I will see if Gus could make a reproduction of it? regards George

Hi, George-

The previous photo is cropped from an online shot from my blog and was the clearest I could find. I will go through my shots again to see if I can find a better picture.

bertinjim 04-22-24 08:54 PM

George-

This one is slightly better. I will continue looking.
