You should tell him to keep his elbow inside his saddle, doesn't have to lift as high and more clearance if necessary. Also doesn't end as badly if he happens to clip the barrier

Always full send! Those two guys are fired from the heckle squad tho.
(can see the guy in red walking the steep corner) https://scontent.fzty1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...d7&oe=5AC20815 This guy had some help from the Hill People as they are named. https://scontent.fzty1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...44&oe=5ACCABFA |
Looks awesome! That hill is definitely where I'd post up with a few beers. :thumb:
Love the guy carrying someone's bike. #keepcrossweird |
Sometimes it's good to be the early race.... course was damp but grippy except some loose sections
https://scontent.fzty1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...16&oe=5AD6F02C 2 hours later for GF's race (different hill but similar steepness) https://scontent.fzty1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...9b&oe=5A8F4473 |

here is a nice way to end the season..

First CX of the year. Really good one to start with. short 1mi course with about 60% being pretty roadie power friendly. I was seeded 15 and finished 12th in Cat 5 (stand alone Cat5 was great)

So where are all the pics? CX is in full swing in north america!

While we love our new indoor velodrome, we still give our oldest velodrome some love by holding a Cross race there. Fortunately for me, most racers didn't seem to know how to utilize the velodrome properly, so I always passed 2-3 riders in that 200 meters (Photo of one of my team mates).

Cool! We race at the velodrome as well!

looking at Strava, its like I hit a turbo button on the velodrome section. We come flying over the top, then down to the infield 200 meters later. Most people dive in too low too fast (although the cat 1-2 tend to ride around the outside and not dive down for some reason). But a velodrome can be one long downhill if you play your cards right. In a race where I was typically going 10mph, my speed regularly hit 25mph in the velodrome. |

I think its known for pretty technical off camber racing. This year it was dry though so no big deal really. https://bikeportland.org/2019/10/07/...gallery-305728 |
Me and my shadow.
Dropping off the old velodrome at 25mph and into the grass. Looks like I'm on my own, but with the speed I took around the velodrome (and into the next 2 corners) I'm about to pass the guy in front of me. ;-) https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...78bc6da75d.jpg Me and my shadow. Cross and velodrome - to of my favorites... |
