Worth it for parts? Suntour XC , Sugino

This is a CL potential purchase. I have no interest or need for the frame. Looks Sugino triple and Suntour XC Pro rear derailleur (I could definately use these) Also, looks like it has shimano STI; maybe 8 speed.
I can get it for $125. Do you think theres value is there?

Just noticed; are the bolts on the rings put in backwards?

There is value, but you've got mismatched parts, so much will depend on whether the parts are worth it to you. 8-speed brifters on what looks like a 6-speed cluster, that kind of thing.

Are the cranks and RD worth $50? Even if you just put a Light Action or older Suntour RD and some friction DT shifters you have a complete Lotus you could sell for $75 to 100 and if the brifters work they could fetch what another $50? You might even break even.

It looks like someone used triple chain wheel bolts but ran them through backwards.

FYI, the subject bicycle is a circa 1969-1991 Lotus 3000R. OEM spec is SunTour Blaze, as noted on the chain stay protector.

With some luck you could E-Bay the frame for half the purchase price (if not more). Even toss it up as a bare frame on Craigslist (or here on Bike Forums). Frame pass it around?

The rest really depends on what you're wanting. Do the parts meet your needs and expectations?

Those almost look like tubulars to me?? :foo:

Older SPD pedals? Certainly retail prices on little things adds up quickly.

Low end not so great fame set had one one of the worst riding road bikes I have owned bottom end cr-mo tawain frame I would put the value on the frame as negligable and th bike as whole built up and riding with basic parts $125-150 ready to ride. The nicer parts are worth about the ask if everything works good but they look kind of sketchy and nothing really goes together. I would say it's a OK to good buy if you have some basic parts to build it into a bike and parts to match or go with the mismatched stuff on the bike. I would buy it only if I had a specific need use for most of the nicer parts on the bike.

As @Bianchigirll wrote, I could possibly break even. But, there is work involved. What I would I end up with is the Suntour RD and the Sugino cranks. I've been down this road before, and you really need to leave some wiggle room to come out ahead on a deal like this.
Yes, I could use the XC Pro RD and cranks. But not sure I have the time right now to do the work involved. (Or maybe I am getting old and lazy) The vintage market for a frame like this in my area is very, very weak. So, frame would have little value;(not sure I could sell it at all.)
I recently finished a purchase like this; ended up with 10 sp Ultegra STI for about $10. But, boy it was a lot of work. Purchase price has to be right; thats the bottom line. At $75 or $80 maybe, maybe.

I think those are Microshift shifters

Let it sit for a week then make an offer.

Yes, good approach. The market in my area is dead for a bike like this.
