Did I show you guys my new eMTB yet? I think it may be about the lightest one on the market, particularly after I switched out the 2.4" Maxxis DHR tires for 2.1" Maxxis Aspens (which I also have on my Santa Cruz Blur). It's the most fun you can have this side of .... well, you know.

I've had great luck with white Fizik tape in the past. Doesn't really get dirty at all. And it's easy to clean. Cheap too!

I don't really mind dingy white tape though, especially if it's cotton. Makes a bike feel well-used and comfortable.

Do you still bicycle ride? Or have you concluded a Peloton is a safer way to exercise these days?

falling off a peloton is probably less bad than a bicycle at the speeds I run. Fast speeds like 21.3 mph. His body is prolly more brittle than mine since he's 60+ and I am a ute.

Oh I know. I remember. It's similar to how it gets cold here in the winter, just not as much and not as long.

When I got my hair cut in late June, the girl had just moved from Boston and was saying how hot it was. She was not pleased when I told her the real heat didn't start until July.

There's usually a week or so when I wish the rjones28 homestead was air conditioned.

The latest Wunderground app update is terrible.

Very interested in good radar as well as push notifications for severe alerts.

Agree. Their website is still ok, but the updated app sucks donkeys.

I've been happy with WeatherBug for years.

datlas 01-15-20 11:43 AM

We had a fantastic Wednesday ride today. Roads were mostly wet so the bike is dirty, but we had sunshine and a fairly cohesive group of ten riders, with temps a seasonably mild mid-40s.

The difference is extreme cold will cost you some toes or fingers, perhaps. Extreme heat will kill you. Cold is much more manageable than heat in terms of survival.

Now if we're just talking about comfort it's a different story, there are more enjoyable activities available in warm weather than cold weather.

Regarding climate, I've lived all my 37 years in Texas and I basically hate summer. I don't mind cold weather and have been happy when work trips to the Northeast coincide with fall/winter. I would love to move there, but my wife can't do cold at all.
