Track Racing Frames and Complete Bikes

Will you guys please help compile a list of currently available complete track racing bikes AND frames as a reference?

This will help the very new racers know what's out there. Let's try to limit the list to race bikes and not include street bikes (with low BBs and whatnot).

Please post whatever you find and I'll edit this list as info comes in.

Please provide:

- Make/Model of the bike/frame
- A link to the manufacturer
- Embed an image URL for all to see
- Any pricing info you may have (MSRP and/or "Street" price). (Street price is what local shops are selling it for, often a few bucks off of MSRP).

The previous thread was pretty successful: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...k-Racing-Bikes

This might be a bit daunting for me. But I'll do my best to keep up. It will help a lot if you do the pre-formatting for me and I can just copy your post and paste it into mine.

Also, I'm not sure if All-City track bikes/frames have the correct geometry. But if they do, I can check MSRP at my shop since it's not listed on the site.

What *is* the difference between the TK1 enduro and TK1 sprint, anyhow?

I believe it's a combo of the Fork rake and a different carbon layup, which is stiffer (heavier) on the sprint bike.

Sadly, 56cm is the largest size for this one. Not so great if you're anything above average height.

That's a good question.

Thought Sphinx bars illegal undder UCI rules now?

Yeah, pretty much. That's why no one uses them in high level comp.

Jaytron 11-27-13 11:17 AM

Are there any higher level frames that DON'T use a crappy proprietary seatpost?

There are a few:

- BT Stealth
- Dolan DF3

Both accept 27.2mm seatposts use really sturdy double seatpost binder bolts.

Jaytron 11-27-13 12:11 PM

Really bummed that the new DF4 is an aero seatpost :\

EDIT: How do you actually even BUY a BT? haha

DF4?

Ha! I'm out of the loop on that.

Yeah, I think it's bad that bike manufacturers KEEP adding those crappy posts to their frames. They provide very little (if any) aerodynamic benefits. The legs churning up and down in front of the seatpost create so much choppy wind that the profile if the seatpost isn't that much of a factor. Especially being that these custom posts have more slipping and tilting issues than the mature 27.2 systems. They "fixed" something that wasn't broken...and broke it :D

Sent you some pictures :P

A bike with a standard seatpost is getting harder and harder to find.
