Same. That was the only reason I was so stupid yesterday. If there’s a bit of a break I’ll go on a walk before the cleaners arrive.

I didn’t look at the forecast. Wife and I had a deal if I worked til late I could take a break this morning and ride. Now the question is, did she know what was forecasted?

Definitely.

Same with us until noon and then I’m off this afternoon to my doc for labs and an injection. Yesterday, was a wet soggy mess so didn’t ride at all. Going to be a really light week but I could use some rest days.

It’s such a bizarre year, it would be great and a perfect opportunity if somebody new took the title.

Do you have to pay to use the track or is it something nice they do?

I never had much luck with azaleas, I could never get them that big or to survive more than 2 or 3 years. I had much better luck with rhododendrons.

You pay but it’s super minimal - $60 for the season pass, I think it was, and $5 online per session, $10 on-site.

The problem is they look pretty good and can advance tonight. They're not the Celtics of my younger days. We thought they were evil.

Are there dog walkers?

How often can you go on the track? Can you just ride whatever you feel like doing or is there structure?

Unicycles, bicycles, and trikes only. E-bikes ok, but electric skateboards, rollerblades, walking, and running are banned. And dogs.

How often? The sessions are always Tuesdays, but you can go every time if you want. Once there, once the track is open, you can go out and ride it as many times as you want. A good session for me is twelve laps or just over 40 miles. Most people are not dumb and do less, and there’s tailgating and beer after for the socially-inclined. This year it’s different in that regard, of course, but you’re still able to tailgate in masks.

Meeting with a banker this afternoon to discuss mortgage options and get an idea of what our price range could be for a house.

Afterwards it's just a simple decision of whether to buy a home in Rockford this February, wait 6-12 months and buy here in Rockford, or just say **** it and move across the country.

This morning the light has a profoundly strange color, like that golden glow you sometimes get around dusk. Thing is, the sun has been up for two hours. We have both clouds AND smoke aloft. When it's just smoke, you can still see the sun - "shining like a red rubber ball".

Air at ground level is "acceptable", which makes it doubly strange. But I'll take weird light and breathable air over normal-ish light and 'unhealthy'. Still, I think I'mma ride in the garage today. It's just too weird out.
