Advice on shaving
Don't shave the hair on your buttocks. It will make it more vulnerable to friction from your shorts and saddle, and you'll get saddle sores even with the help of chamois cream. I made the mistake of doing this the last time I shaved my legs. Why? Personal reasons, but mainly stupidity. Now I am suffering from saddles sores which I never had in my entire 27 years of cycling. Trust me.....don't do it.

Please... No pics.

I've taken to using a beard trimmer at the lowest setting to reduce the forest so the hairs that were decently short 40 years ago don't get pulled when I ride. Helps a lot.
|
Thanks for the advice.

I wonder if this will turn into another Manscaping thread? Those can get tiresome.

Forest Gump didn’t have any hair on his but-tox.

And just like that there's a thread on shaving......that's all I got to say about that

A hairy butt provides better cushioning on the saddle, and a nice visual for motorists when you moon them. It also allows one to add-in "hairy" when telling people what they can kiss.

As in, “You can kiss Hairy *AND* the Hendersons!” Something along those lines? |
Wax it. Like your chain.

I don't shave. My face. My legs. Anything. Nor do I expect my woman to. I doubt I will gain much speed if I start. But if I do start shaving, you will know I took up drag. And the only thing that gets waxed is my chain!

A little off topic but funny. Rear this thread then hit New Topics and the top thread was "Learning to Ride Again". A month ago I shaved my beard for a better mask fit. Hadn't seen or shaved my face in 20 years. Face is now different. My growth is different, plus I haven't run a razor over anything but the edges of my face in decades. I literally had to "Learn to Shave Again"! A month later, I"m starting to get good at it.

LOL! Too funny.
I stopped shaving after doing it for about 20 years. I was getting lazy and I'm assuming that a dirty razor somewhere along the line resulted in these tiny red, raspberry marks in the skin on my legs that even the dermatologist couldn't figure-out. Now that I've stopped shaving for a few years, I don't see the marks any more. That, and I freakin' hated shaving. I'm willing to sacrifice a few watts for my own sanity. :twitchy: |
I heard it will grow back thicker if you shave and in time you develop a furry monkey's butt.
Has anyone tried Anti Monkey Butt Powder? https://www.antimonkeybutt.com/amb_products/men/ |
