I am looking at two bikes right now.

A new moose bike 2018 fatbike 2 and

a used/rebuilt 2017 Norco Sasquatch fatbike.

It is my L.B.S. selling the Norco.
They are very trustworthy.
By rebuilding I mean they are looking it over,
and fixing what needs to be fixed so they can guarrantee it.

Both bikes are relatively the same price with the Norco selling for
less than half its price new.

Does anyone happen to know these bikes?
I cqn list the components if necessary.

The Sasquatch is awesome bike. Get that one!

I agree,she is a beauty.
It has a massive carbon front fork that looks really cool.
And it fits me better than the moose too.
But it is a hellacious chunk of change even at half price.
This will be only a winter bike at first anyway.
Summer tires won't be in the budget at first.
I get to look it over and ride it next week.

They just knocked two hundred bucks off the price of the Sasquatch. :)

Assuming it comes with the stock Maxxis Colossos and Mulefut rims you should be good to go for the summer.

Get rid of the tubes if it still has them. The mulefuts go tubeless easy as can be. It'll be a massive weight savings right where it matters most.

The Colossos looks like a pretty good beach tire. Go find some sand.��

You are right on about the wheels and tires.
A lot of my Summer riding will be on pavement.
Don't you think it will be tough on tires meant for snow?

Not the kind of thing I would worry about. Tires are meant to be ridden.

If it makes you feel better, riding on nice clean pavement will wear your drivetrain less so you can say your cost per mile evens out. :)

Its seems sily but a fatbike is tons of fun in the city. Find a long flight of stairs for some childish amusement.

The stairs sound like fun but my balance sucks since I had a very bad concussion.
maybe a ski slope though.:)

buy the used one. You'll take less of a loss if you decide it's not for you
