10 Finally

Finally got to level 10 Zwift today! Can’t wait to try the jungle out now. Took FOREVER to get to 10.

As you can tell I am jacked about it.

I am about 1500 from 9 so I should click that today and start working on 10... See you there shortly.

Atta boy. The only thing really great is the last locked courses. I got the Zipp 808 wheels but being a Clyde it’s not going to matter much:roflmao2: But stilll fun!

I am shooting to finish the California challenge now and then Italy. Still have to get the 25 laps of volcano too. :twitchy:

I am still at level 8 :(. Gradually getting there - 7 seemed to go by pretty quickly.

I need to condition my butt to tolerate longer hours in the saddle before I contemplate that. That 25 lap thing could take hours.

Still have to do the 5/10 lap - those are on my radar, but I haven't gotten to them yet. My plan is to knock them both out on the same ride.

I am still on the Everest challenge - about 18% of the way up to the top of Everest. You don't get the Tron bike until you have climbed 50K meters however, so that will still take a while. You get something else when you have climbed the actual height of Everest.

For sure. I am just waiting for a day off when the house is empty and i can just get after it. Or attempt it anyways. I do about 8 minuets a lap on a comfortable pace and 0715 working it hard so I figured 8x25=a very long afternoon of biking lol

10 laps were not bad actually just takes some time. I got it out in something like 86 minuets. Its a good boost in points

9-10 was 3000 points that is a chunk. Took me a little bit to get it. But after 9 they are all 3000 points or more per level. 15 will be bittersweet to get the 15 jersey!

I was averaging around 8 mins doing 10 laps... Never really did a hard push but my fast was only around 7:45 slow was just riding totally chilled, close to 9 mins... I am guessing about 3.25 to 3.5 hours.

I am a bit slower than you are - I would probably have to budget about 2 hours for this.

I got a good boost in points hitting 50mph - I assume that hitting 60mph would give a similar or even larger boost. I would need to get to the radio tower to attempt this -that's the only road long and steep enough to do the job. That's the one place that being a Clyde would work to my advantage.

I could pretty easily do the 500W/10s at the same time. Another thing to try some day, but I usually never think of it when I am riding.

I haven't done an FTP test yet either - with all of the holiday activities, I didn't want to get into that sort of thing until the new year.

Next jump after 50MPH is 63MPH or 100KMH... and it is a big boost... I did it following guide online by Shane Miller

I hit 65MPH at just under 500watts... The benifits of being a Clyde.

Is it as easy as he says to get the Aero boost? Or did you not bother with that?

Yep the issue is getting to the tower and having enough gas in the tank to get back down it with any effort. That climb is a killer!

Still have not cracked 9... close though, I have been doing a bunch of training rides so the miles do not pile up as much. But I did guided tour of the Jungle Road to Ruins" during one of the 12 Days of Christmas rides today.

Congrats!!!! That is awesome great work. I plan on attempting it tomorrow afternoon. Christmas was heck on the diet so i am starting back in by going for the 25 laps snd the 100km distance goals. I have been eating poorly so this is just the ticket to get back on track.

Good luck! I took short breaks off bike at 10 laps, 15 and 20 laps and a few times between 15 and 25 to relieve my tired sit bones and tailbone and to apply a bit of chamois cream and swap to new bottles of hydration. I went thru 4 large camelback bottles. I have two fans one in front and the other behind. Makes a difference

Congrats from me as well. You did more climbing looping the volcano than I did on the Epic KOM.

I wish I had that kind of time right now. But my bike is in the shop and I have a plane to catch tomorrow :(. You guys are having too much fun.

The volcano is supposed to be 56’ each lap = 1400 feet. I had a bit more. The way to get to Volcano is uphill a tad. I had 13’ at the tunnel leading to Volcano and 37’ at start of my first lap at counter showing 0. So it’s a tad more than 62’ per lap.

Just about 2.5 weeks since I started using Zwift... Got motivated by all the good work here and put in the miles today... Finished 100K, 25 Laps Volcano Circuit and hit level 10... Feels good.
