Can we get rid of Hash Numbers? #1 #2

With the new round of updates, can we get rid of the Hash Numbers?

#1 First thing
#2 Second thing
#3 Third thing

I presume hashtags are used as some link in social media, but they are pretty meaningless when applied to simple numbers in a list.

I agree with this. It always links to a blank page. Until then I don't use hashtags. For me it's "no. 1", "no. 2", or "1), 2), 3)".

Actually, I followed the link. It doesn't give one a blank page, but rather everyone that has ever used #1 in a post. :innocent:

Interesting. I just get a blank page. I could possibly have disabled hashtags in my user control panel at some point. I don't remember.

The hashtags are working as designed and leading to a page where people have used the hashtag in posts. I think there are other ways to post 1. 2. 3., without using #. If there are complaints that arise regarding this, we can look further into it but hashtags are operating as they would on any website.

You can use the hashtags to link a URL in the same manner as any other link.

If you don't like hashtags, do pass them along, I don't have enough with my virtual good breakfast (have enough ketchup tho)
