Just saw this on ebay. Let's hope it's a Milenial thing.

It’s not.

lostarchitect 03-31-20 12:37 PM

Are you referring to the guy being goofy in the photos or something else?

orcas island 03-31-20 01:37 PM

Perhaps an extension of his Tinder/Grinder outreach efforts? :foo: Just casting a wider net, as it were

tricky 03-31-20 01:46 PM

Looks more like a Gen Z'er to me. ;)

Yeah, no fun allowed when it comes to bikes.

SurferRosa 03-31-20 02:04 PM

Someone should start a wacky ebay thread.

ascherer 03-31-20 02:15 PM

I like some creativity in ads.
(Be advised - some salty cusswords but very comical)

Wildwood 03-31-20 02:15 PM

advertise, advertise, advertise

maybe seller is looking for that ‘special’ buyer.

tashi 03-31-20 03:31 PM

Old bikes are serious business.

FYI: That's not likely a millennial or a "Milenial", he looks younger than that to me.

Senrab62 03-31-20 10:47 PM

Gen Z. Too young for millennial.

RiddleOfSteel 03-31-20 11:34 PM

Eh, the guy's just being a goof. I'm sure none of those in generations older than Millennials/Y and Z were ever weird and posed for photos in such indiscreet manners when they were that young.

The ad has been here and there for some time. Just like the person still selling a 25" Ice Pink Schwinn Prelude on Ebay for $380 plus shipping. Clean, and converted to upright bars, but for the past SIX years???

madpogue 04-01-20 03:15 PM

Platteville - college (small) town. Photos appear to be from inside a LBS. Maybe the seller is quarantined there, and extremely bored.

canklecat 04-01-20 03:28 PM

Judging from that frame he sure looks like a member.

wrk101 04-01-20 03:36 PM

Missing two key parts: matching fork and unique quill seat post. I would not buy it without those two parts. I do wish him the very best as I have a complete Ontare I really need to think about selling.

The Golden Boy 04-02-20 06:41 AM

OK Boomer.

Moe Zhoost 04-02-20 07:26 AM

No generation has a monopoly on goofballs.

:thumb::roflmao2:the statement that sums up 3 generations worth of frustration over nothing ever being right.

Nothing in that add changed the course of my life. It did waste a bit of my time but I cause that to happen now and then.

The more things change the more they stay the same, at least he wasn't falling from the second floor to sell his bike frame!

And if he was vaulting off that banister, he is ready for the Olympics.

"Racer" three speeds and around 30-35lbs, the age of "Iron Young Boys"., hmm, fitment might be an issue too.

Oh, and don't miss reading the ad copy, there took you out of house lock down for a couple minutes, good deed for the day.

Or should be. Him and the bike look like they need to get a room.

The seller has been listing this for at least a year. A price drop is probably in order.

OldsCOOL 04-02-20 03:57 PM

Looking at his guads I think he has never droped a hamer.

Vonruden 04-02-20 04:18 PM

I'm not sure what to make of this other than that it reminds me of the scene in "Little Big Man" where Richard Mulligan, as Custer, discusses his gonads. I always enjoyed Mulligan. Guess he did a serious role or two, but I missed them all.
