Tall Cyclists - another post your ride here thread
this thread is for the taller cyclist. Please post your bike's photo here(along with frame size + inseam length) if you are 6'2" or taller.
I going to have a custom frameset built because my road bike is a bit too small for my legs, but it's too long for my torso + the handlebars are too low. here's my 61cm Pedal Force RS (6'2" Tall, 37.5" inseam) http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t.../DSCF2343a.jpg The bars are a bit too low, and the reach forward is a hair long for me. |
Great, the jungle gym thread ;)
62cm bike, 6'4", 36" inseam http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/2848/cimg6830kw4.jpg |
waterrockets, you're killing me. I've wanted a Ritchey Road Logic since the mid 90's. Sweet ride.

6'3 with 35" inseam.
All 60 cm frames. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...s/IMG_0557.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...s/IMG_0511.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...ullprofile.jpg |
Drops
What kind of drop distance do you have between your seat and handlebars. I'm 6'6" with a 36" inseam and have 10 cm.
|
I believe Seven recommended 5 centimeters or so. I have to look at the form they sent with my frame. I've got all my bikes set up like the Seven now.

6'6", 36" inseam. IIRC, frame is a 59cm w/a 60.5 TT and a 150mm stem
|
The bikes are good...but...
More importantly, I'd like to see some taller guys ON the bikes to get an idea of back/hip forward angle, arm bend, knee bend and neck positioning. I'm 6'4", 35 inch inseam, 37" sleeve length and long torso. I'll post pics of my 63cm LEADER and describe set-up soon....hopefully with me on it to get some feedback... |
6'4", 36" inseam.
61cm 2003 Specialized Sequoia Sport (this picture is before stem change). http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h1..._2213Large.jpg 62cm 2007 Motobecane Immortal Pro http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h1..._2302Large.jpg I have a 62cm 2005 Specialized Allez Elite frame on the UPS truck headed to my house right now, so no pics of that one yet. |

Scott CR1 XXL (61cm) Jeez, I'm 5'10 and I have an inseam of almost 35inches! I have the complete opposite problem, really short torso. Fitting a bike is quite an event... |

Your PF is a good looking frame. Most builders screw up the look on the big CF frames. I generally can't stand the way the longer head tubes look on CF bikes  PF nailed it though.

PF nailed it though. My headtube on my 60cm Trek 5200 (6'2", 34" inseam) looks normal. |

6'4" 36" inseam.
60cm on the Flyte, 61cm on the Moto. The Flyte is too small, it's killing my neck. I'm thinking of moving back up to a 62cm. Just move the parts over to a bigger frame, hold onto the Flyte as a backup frame. http://image.bayimg.com/majidaabg.jpg |
Loving this thread .. will post mine when I get home.

is it NOT appropriate to ask a co-worker for help measuring my inseam?
i just need all my stats before posting a picture. :) later. |
I'm 6'5" with 38" inseam. Here's my Habanero, 65cm CTT.
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/100_1896.jpg And my IRO. It's 62cm CTT. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...8/100_1566.jpg |

I just really wonder when I see such long stems on these 60cm/61cm frames, shouldn't you just find a maker with a longer top tube. Or when someone has to clamp their saddle all the way to the front to take out some slack. I understand of course wanting to ride a particular manufacturer's frame but for the mass producers, unforutunately, there just aren't many 63cm+ frames out there. (As if you all didn't already know this....) |
