Pedals vs. Saddles

Rather than doing a thread where we argue the merits of different versions of the same components, how about we argue the merits of totally different components?

I prefer pedals because once I got a seat stolen, and I was able to ride the bike to the LBS by standing up. I would have had to walk it if my pedals had gotten stolen.

I prefer seat because I can coast downhill with no pedals. I’ll fight anyone who thinks otherwise.

The idiocy of these faux debates is basically the point I was making. I think we're on page one zillion of doubles vs. triples.

Pedals because I once broke a seat post bolt and was able to ride standing up to a hardware store where I was able to purchase a stopgap solution, which is also why I like money.

Hubs vs handlebars?

How about combining technologies and be able to clip into our saddles and adjust crankarm lengths with flip of a lever?

Very much sucks. Especially if the pedals are (were) vintage Odyssey Shark Bites with purple ano'ed cages. :(

The funny thing is that it feels really odd to ride my handlebar setup without having a hand on it. While it feels natural on the setups that don't have one.

rims vs bearings?

C'mon guys, we can do better than this.
