I have one 700x26c tyre - put tyre on front or back?
I have one 700 x 26c Pirelli Cinturato tubeless tyre. I am not looking to purchase another tyre to make a set. So I'm curious. Am I best to replace the front or rear tyre on my bike with the 26c when the time comes? Or am I over thinking things and it won't matter.

Fatter tire in the back. Comfier and less aero penalty.

Whichever needs it first. There are pros and cons of both.

When your rear tire wears out, put the 26 in front, then put existing front tire on the back wheel.
Rotating like this works pretty well regardless of tire size (hopefully existing tires are 23-28 though) |
