Trek 1.2 c h2
looking at a leftover 2016 for $722, owners opinions on the bike would be appreciated, also ho does it compare to a Specialized Sectuer ?

I've been riding my 2016 1.2 for a about one year now and have absolutely enjoyed it. Since purchase, I've replaced the tires with 25mm Gator Skins which have significantly improved ride comfort. I've also replaced the brake pads which have drastically improved the stopping. I am still fairly new at this but if the bike is brand new from your LBS, I believe the price is good. In 2016, they ran approx $870.00. See if they'll sweeten the deal by throwing in a couple of bottles and bottle cages. I am not familiar with the Specialized.

Here is a crappy picture of mine. The bike is nothing special, but it is perfectly capable for any use. I race mine and can't say it holds me down at all. It does come with some unspectacular tires, but I ran it like that for a good while without any issues. But if you're looking for upgrades, that would probably be the first place I'd look (although I would recommend something nicer than Gatorskins.) Apart from that I'd ride it as is until you find specific things you might want to improve, if any.
Never ridden a Secteur so I have no idea how they compare. https://i.imgur.com/066vGSf.jpg |
There are certainly "nicer" tires than gator skins. I don't race but enjoy riding on back roads where conditions vary from smooth to washboard and sometimes gravel. The gator skins have held up quite nicely.

I had a 2016 1.2c for some time and logged approximately 400 trouble free miles. The only thing I did was replace the factory tires with GP4000S II's. Other than that, it was an excellent ride and relatively lightweight. I just recently sold it for a 2016 Emonda SL6 because I got a killer deal on a new one.
No experience with the Specialized though - sorry. With the 1.2 I don't think you could go wrong. |

Didn't the 1.5 come with Tiagra?
I'd say that the cranks on the 1.2 were a bit subpar. Worked fine, but if looking for upgrades that would be one of the first places I'd look. |

Hmm, no idea. The 1.5 doesn't exist anymore. I guess the bottom level Emonda took its place.

I haven't had a chance to ride the trek yet but the secteur I rode was awesome, hoping to ride the trek this weekend
