How many miles per day ?

How many miles per day do you guys ride ?

Since the whole shelter in place has started, I’ve been working from home. I work 8-5 M-F so I have just a few hours to ride after work. I’m averaging 15-20 mile rides which isn’t a lot but it’s a good amount to release some steam!

I've been riding in the morning before starting work from my house at around 9:15 AM. I head out around 8 AM and ride a 20 mile loop (w/around 1900 ft of climbing) in about 65 minutes.

I was doing 40-45 miles a day (6 days a week). Then the virus struck. Now I'm on a trainer and can only survive 18-22 miles a day.

Ive been using the iOS health app and comparing it to the cycle meter app which seems much more accurate

if I upgrade to elite can I store my bike rides so I can improve my stats each day ?

Depending on the weather, my daily rides are typically 15 miles (cold, wet) to 30-35 (decent conditions) daily and about 15 miles on an indoor trainer when conditions are too bad such as snow and ice.

I've been retired for 20 years so I usually ride in the early afternoon but I can ride any time I want to. :thumb:

I literally JUST started riding. About 2 weeks ago. I'll go out every other day or so for about 5-10 miles. Haven't planned any routes, don't plan when I go. I just hop on the bike and go. As i get more endurance and get accustomed to what I need I'll plan out rides better.

Take a look at RideWithGPS, an iOS, Android and web-based app. The free version gives me all kinds of stats and tracks riding by day, month, year, or career. I used Cyclemeter previously, and it was good, but I like RwGPS better.

I started riding in February with 10-16 mile rides. Now in late April I'm doing 17-30 mile rides, as many days per week as weather allows. I don't intentionally ride in the rain.

I’ve got a 7 day free trial of Cyclemeter and it seems excellent.
when you used Cyclemeter did you find it accurate?

Seem accurate to me. I still run an old-school Cateye "computer" that measures distance the old-fashioned way, by counting revolutions of the wheel. Cyclemeter and RwGPS both match distances on the Cateye, and are likely more accurate.

thanks for the helpful info
tried strava but it’s not for me, especially at the price it costs for the full version

ill stick to cycle meter as it’s simple, very cheap and does the job counting my miles

Normal for me is about 100 road miles per week, typically one 60 mile day then daily errands. Lately, with little else to do, and no restrictions here on outdoor exercise, it's over 200 miles per week. I've ridden 120 miles in the last three mornings. (I'm spending the season in north central Florida.)

Depends where i have to go. If it‘s just to work and straight home after its 34km per day. If i have to go to bern for example it‘s 130km.
