If making Cup o'Noodles was a bike forums thread:

[newuserbikeguy] Hey guys, new to the forum! Just making some cup o'noodles and heard conflicting reports, should you fill the styrofoam cup ALL the way to the fill line with hot water? That seems like a lot. Also, what temperature should I use?

[mr.straight-laced] Yes. That's why it's there.

[Controvesial_Campy_Karl] No way, maybe 3-4 mm below for best results. Otherwise it's soupy

[Capn-Obvi] [quote: No way, maybe 3-4 mm below for best results. Otherwise it's soupy] isn't it soup?

[Fancy.Equip.Bill] As far as the temp goes, I use the 190F faucet I installed. Works great

[Token_retro_grouch] Hey, @fancy.Equip.Bill, must be nice! The rest of us use an old tea kettle

[Token_retro_grouch] Cup o'Noodles are just Ramen in a cup. Why not just get a bowl and eat ramen?

AlmostTrick 09-09-20 02:25 PM

[Self Appointed thread police] Wrong forum, this belongs in training and nutrition.

davei1980 09-09-20 02:28 PM

AlmostTrick Yes! Exactly

Dammit I forgot to pick up some Mr. Noodles cups on sale at Giant Tiger. Time to head back out... :(

Waxed ramen cups are cleaner and better for the environment.

I didn't know exactly how this would happen, but I KNEW this would morph in to a wax vs oil, chain lube thread!

cb400bill 09-09-20 02:57 PM

Do you wave at the cup?

Those styrofoam cups will explode if they get too hot. Just get old skool Ramen for 30 cents a pack.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/48-Packs-Ni...p/383690573936

Best served in a steel bowl.

canklecat 09-09-20 03:11 PM

Ignore the cooking directions. Dial that microwave up to 1200 Watts until those guads are noodles.

I don't like Cup o' Noodles. Anyone who eats Cup o' Noodles is stupid.

The cup is just a solution looking for a problem.

Why are the manufacturer's forcing me to boil water?

My average speed increased 2 mph when I started eating Cup o' Noodles.

The cup adds too much rotational weight.

wolfchild 09-09-20 03:48 PM

Try something different and pour some hot chocolate on your Cuo o'Noodles for some very unique taste.

indyfabz 09-09-20 03:52 PM

At least it’s not a waving or chain lube thread.

Troul 09-09-20 03:52 PM

what size cup is best fit for the consumer with a 86 cm gut line size?

....yet.

davei1980 09-09-20 04:05 PM

So is waving at other cyclists a controversial thing? like chain lube? I never knew!

Real cyclists eat bowls of noodles. I’m eating this right now.

You planning to do a double century for all those carbs?

blue192 09-09-20 04:30 PM

Ok back from Giant Tiger and bought a bunch of Mr Noodles cups. Got the environmentally friendly waxed cups not the nasty petroleum plastic things. 77 cents each. xD

That would be considered doping.

Is [bike forums] [cup o noddles] bad for my heart and blood pressure?

I-Like-To-Bike 09-09-20 04:38 PM

Cup of Noodles is only NSF and is not sold by locally owned grocery stores suitable for support from Real Cyclists.

Besides, Real Cyclists eat pizza and drink beer for both pleasure and sustenance. Only cheapskates and the unworthy would admit to voluntarily eating cheap noodles, food snobs brag about their noodle dishes.

NOTE:
NSF is the acronym for Noodle Shaped Food; of course all tne Kool Kidz already knew that.

Bulk Store Oddities would be just as sufficient
