Here's my attempt for a Los Angeles group ride calendar

There are many sites listing various group rides, but I was never able to find it in a calendar format. Sometimes I wonder who I can ride with over the weekend, but it's almost daunting to try and find out who's riding from where. So I'm attempting to make a group ride calendar for my area (Los Angeles). My sources come from Instagram, Facebook, Strava groups, and other club websites.

I realize I'm probably missing lots of group rides. I'll be adding more as I discover them. I hope others can benefit from my calendar. I'm using a simple Google Calendar. Please feel free to give me your feedback! The following link will display the calendar in any web browser.

If you already have a Google account and use the Google Calendar, you can easily add this calendar to your existing calendar.

UPDATE July 25, 2021 - I have purchased the domain name BicycleGroupRides.com and have posted the calendar on this page for easier reference.

Lots of work in there! Thanks for the efforts and I hope its automated.

No automation. All done by hand and updated a couple of times per day as I get new/updated ride info. I'm hoping this calendar will someday catch on and become popular. Then I can give access to the admins of ride groups so they can add/modify their own events. I'd love to see a central location where group rides can easily be found by date.

Wow, that's fantastic. I had no idea so much was going on.

That is a ton of work manually. I wonder if there is a way to create the calendar to update automatically.

Wow great job howardv Someone sent me this link when I was going to come to town. https://socalcycling.com/fun-rides-tours/ It lists a lot of the Pasadena area rides that I used to be familiar with.

Thanks for this list! I plan on checking out some of the ride meets!

Awesome! This is a very useful resource. Thanks for all your hard work.

Not sure how you decide what to include or not to include, but I don't see any of Serious Cycling's rides on there.

Thanks everyone for the links and the rides I had missed. This calendar is an ongoing effort and I'll add more rides as I find out about them.

The Google calendar link was long and tedious. I have purchased the domain BicycleGroupRides.com and have posted the calendar there to make it easy. It's very preliminary and I'll be making changes to it often. If you know of rides that aren't on the calendar, please let me know! Hoping one day we'll have the a place to find all the group rides in the Los Angeles area in one location.
