1972 Elvish
https://buffalo.craigslist.org/bik/d...256227648.html
per advert "Here for sale is an original 1972 Elvish I'm the original owner it was one of the lightest racers back then. Even has the original tires, which are no doubt shot. All the premium goodies on this one. Great restore project too. Stored for the last 40 yrs. $150 !" I am too busy/broke to even look at something now but if anyone likes these it's in Niagara Falls USA |
-----
It may be perspective or photographic effect but it appears in photos there is something wonky with fork. Given that is is a base model bicycle in need of overhaul price seems a bit high. Comparable to Peugeot UO8 or Raleigh Gran Prix. May be an immigrant from across the border; this marque more common in maple leaf land than in the U.S. ----- |
.
...I always liked Ideale leather saddles better than Brooks, but given the stated history of 40 years in "storage", that one's probably shot. +1 on the fork and general quality level of the pictured bicycle. |
Agree with above---low-end bike, frame and fork bent.

Of course the kickstand might throw the weight off a bit.

...I wonder how Rivendell feels about these ? |
CL post deleted, no more pics
Hey did it sell?
I wonder if the OP/seller got the asking price? I was hoping to see it and the bent fork |
Miller72 - I wasn't buying it. I posted it incase some wanted one. I had just promised myself no more bikes.....then I bought a Kabuki....

My first new bicycle ever...it was a blue 12 speed, 27X1&1/4 may have said Shogun on the cross tube. I have only come across one other Kabuki for sale in many years and I couldn't justify the asking price or the travel to pick it up. Any pics of your new to you Kabuki!? Memories!! Thanks, Miller CT |
