Mavic COSMOS ERD?
 

Has anyone here rebuilt a COSMOS wheel with and Open Pro rim? They seem awfully close in shape. Is the ERD between rims equal? If so then the hub and spokes could be reused.

If you know the ERD of a Mavic Cosmos Rim, please post.

Here is some similar discussion http://www.velonews.com/phorum3/read...02898&t=102658 along that line. My source of info does not list the ERD for a Cosmos rim but an Open Pro is 605 mm and I think the Cosmos is the same. Give it a try or better still measure it with a metric tape.

If you try to measure it be sure to follow the directions on one of the wheel building sites or spoke calculators. ERD is not the measurement you will make from rim face to rim face.

Thanks. I made some ERD measurments and came up with 603mm using a tape measure. Seems close enough to replace with and Open Pro.

I'll let you know how the wheel build goes.
