Where's Sixty Fiver at?

I am wondering if Sixty Fivers still on here, have not seen posts from him in a little while, if not I hope everything's ok?

Was here last 4-15, maybe if you follow the posts he made it will tell you.

Narhay 05-20-17 06:45 PM

@Sixty Fiver

noglider 05-20-17 07:08 PM

He's been active on facebook. Maybe he just likes it better than here.

qcpmsame 05-20-17 07:33 PM

I hope he will return here, I was wondering about him and a few others yesterday. Seems that a few regulars have found other outlets for their bike discussions.

Probably true Bill, when the website had its make over I stopped being able to do so much with the photos from my tablet, I bowed out for a while too.

oddjob2 05-23-17 06:43 PM

Haven't heard much from @Bikedued either.

Good to see @Bianchigirll back actively.

qcpmsame 05-23-17 08:21 PM

@verktyg

Bicycle Addict 05-24-17 02:39 AM

Yes actually, a few of the regulars are not on recently

Probably a few of us had life get in the way. When I sold the old house in Montpelier two years ago, my riding took a fair hit, my wrenching took a severe hit due to lack of dedicated space. At least I'm back wrenching again and the pace is picking up. I'm starting to feel guilty regarding the Rossin and PX-10 frames that have been sitting since '14, waiting for me to start digging up parts and putting them back on the road - finally.

SJX426 05-24-17 09:26 AM

@sykerocker - don't feel bad. I have 3 frames that have been, at least one, sitting for that long. Two Treks from 1984, a 610 and 760. And my daughters Pinarello. At least the Tandem is built and used even though it is naked!

Aha... I find that my participation in specific forums goes down a lot if I'm not actively doing that hobby. I'm also a member of various electric guitar, tube audio, weightlifting, vintage VW, straight razor, and pipe-smoking discussion forums, and some of them haven't seen me in a while. Perhaps eventually I'll cycle back to some of those hobbies, but who knows...

Sixty Fiver 05-24-17 10:13 AM

I saw the bike signal... :)

Hope everyone is well.

I have a 1978 Trek TX 900, a 1979 Trek 510, and a 1991 specialized team stumpjumper hanging on hooks . . . .

LOL! Sounds like we could start a new thread!

The Bicycle Repair Man! Many personalities I have seen come and go on here. Lots I miss even though I never met them, a few I had the fortune to meet. What a strange, virtual world it is.

The last time I built a bike was October of last year, that red Bianchi. I've been riding once since December of last year. Ironically I've lost 25 pounds since I stopped riding, lol.

Just got back into guitars, and then back into old cars. The last month or so I have been going full blast trying to revive a 1970 Ford Torino. As with most old cars it needs mostly everything.,,,,BD

There he is.
I too have been off since the "upgrade" and when I came back I did notice there were quite a few names not popping up.
@Sixty Fiver, I hope things are well?

I like the Torino, really like that year too, not seen much here in New Zealand
It is good to know things are ok with everyone

Good to see your names, gentlemen. You're a bit of our foundation in this sport's forums. Guidance and inspiration.

Very, very true. I coach two girls fastpitch softball teams and we're in the middle of 7 straight weekends of tournaments. When I have a free weekend I tend to look for a car show to put my Falcon in. It's all I can do right now to squeeze in a ride every couple of weeks when I'm on a field almost every day of the week. As much as I hate the thought, this will be my last summer coaching. My back issue is just too painful when standing (which you do a lot as a coach). That should allow me time come August to get back on a bike and into shape.

At least I have had a few spare minutes to tweak my Gitane Olympic and Peugeot PX-10 a little more to my liking.

LesterOfPuppets 01-28-19 10:39 PM

OK, now where's Sixty-Fiver at? Hope he's OK.
