AHHHH, So cursed, love the look of carbon, but the ride of steel
I just cant stop looking at my 2300, especially with the blackburn pump I just picked up :D, but my IronMan master is sooooo smooth, but a tad to big. I think Im gonna end up just selling both to get an RB1, but this weekend its so nice out and I can ride because I just sit there trying to decide which to get on :D
I know this has already come up with me :) but I just still wanna complain ha ha http://i53.tinypic.com/1iygzn.jpg |
What's the problem, keep both and get the RB1.

What is the trek, a 54? Judging by the amount of seat post showing that things real small for you. Maybe you just need a slightly shorter stem and a lower profile saddle and the centurian could be perfecto.

RB1 is nice but over rated. I had a 3 tubed carbon trek it fit great...I sold it for fear of the bike exploding on a ride. I do regret selling it. Oh well. I'd say screw the RB1 and find an old French bike. Most people are still scared of french bottom brackets. Look at a Motobecane Gran Record or PX10...
Even though the RB1 is classic it lacks the style and finesse of our older french jalopies. Heck even a Carlton would be a nice catch. Keep looking. |
Don't worry, I'll take good care of that Trek for you. Seems to be my size...
|
Uh oh.... That same bike has been showing up on St. Louis CL for a week or so....
Are you in/near STL? |
Buy modern carbon, it rides better than steel.
|
yeah Im in stl. I just finished the swap, STI's are now on the Centurion and the DT's are on the Trek...............Treks for sale :D

I'm still looking for a 2300 in my size. |
Just wondering ...what is your experience with the RB-1?
Cheers, J

Perhaps a new bike with carbon stays and a steel triangle? There's a custom fabricator in Indy that does these. The frame is $1600 I think?
