Hi!

Whats this thread about?

MoAlpha 12-05-19 06:57 PM

Why am I seeing ads for hearing aids? Does Google think I'm some kind of alter kacker?

Confusion.

Lack of quality content killed the previous thread. Sad!
Not enough awesome shovel talk. I blame myself.

No, they think you’re old.

BillyD 12-05-19 08:31 PM

Soon as we can get to the second page I can test the links.

Why, that's a bunch of horse hockey, by gum!

Interesting thing I read about today...

When a power pole snaps, they go out and cut the rest of the pole out ASAP - less chance of the lines breaking or coming down that way.

Makes sense.

If an item has to be labeled "heavy duty", is it actually?

MoAlpha 12-05-19 09:12 PM

Moving snow around is always heavy duty, as far as I'm concerned. Put an old feller like me in the hospital!

true, heavy duty isn't necessary. it is polycarbonate. We all know that polycarbonate construction is best for awesome shovels. :thumb:

The Car Talk guys had a customer they dubbed Heavy Duty. Everything he wanted/needed replaced--he wanted "Heavy Duty". Heavy Duty, one day, came into the shop and ended up needing a clutch. He said "I want a Heavy Duty clutch"..."Are you really sure?", "absolutely". So they went and found the heaviest-built truck transmission they could and installed it.

Next time they saw him, the tale goes...he seemed about 3" inches taller (due to his shoes he now needed). "How's the clutch, Heavy Duty?" "The clutch is fine but MY FEET ARE KILLING ME".
