Why do guys with hot pink socks keep passing me?

Pink comes from red + white.

Red = faster.

By the transitive power, therefore Pink = faster. Maybe not as fast as red. You should get some red socks.

I ordered a pair of blue socks. Got an email saying they were out of stock in blue, if I'll accept gray instead they'll their in a free pair. Sure. When they arrived the free ones were pink.

It's always the same. I'm cruising around at an ok speed, a group of two blows past me like I'm going backwards. The older one that doesn't look as fit is wearing hot pink socks. It's not the same guy each time. By older, I probably mean my age, I keep forgetting that I have birthdays too.

If I give chase and draft, they spend the rest of our time together pointing at every inconsistency in the road greater than 1mm. Usually within a few minutes they turn off some other road that doesn't make alot of sense to ride on.

I'm left all alone with nothing but questions.

I'm actually pretty bad about pointing things out. I mean like if there's a junkie running at us I'll say something, but if it's a pothole or whatever, I assume everyone else rides these roads too...

Me too and it has to be a really crazy tweaker. Junkies are slow. This a.m., a guy got apologetic about not pointing out a poorly filled, perpendicular, cut in the pavement and I said I don't call anything that isn't up to the hub.

Sort your shoes then check into socks.

I do think those giro shoes are sexy. As a formerly fast and definitely no longer fast guy who already takes himself too seriously, I think I'm going to go ahead and keep the ones I have.

Sorry, I don't mean nothing by it. But when I ride my pink bikes with hot pink socks and hot pink jersey I just have to go fast. Otherwise my mancard will be revoked!
