Every Day Pics
Just what we need, another picture thread.
Post your pictures of your bike RIGHT NOW. Are you using it for lowly commuting? Moving stuff? Post it. Is the pic artsy? Who gives a rats ass. Just give me something to look at. I'll start. My Lotus, which I rode down to the coffee shop in my town today to work from, away from the wife and kids. yeah, the picture quality sucks. Maybe when the sun moves I'll be able to get another one without having to move the bike, which I'm too lazy to do. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-K...1000002691.JPG So go use your cell phone or whatever, and snap a picture and post it here. I really don't even care if it's bike related. Just do it! Please and thank you. |
Okay, you axed for it.
I just took my work camera off its stand, stretched the power cable as far as it would go, zoomed in to the max, and took a photo of my bike over in the file room. Then I uploaded all the photos I've taken in the last day or so onto the hard drive. And here are two. On the first, note the design closely based on the Raleigh Twenty; Sturmey Archer 8 speed hub, Shimano Nexus dymano hub, home made LED lights. It was new last August, and has about 3400 miles on it now. I'll be curious if anyone other than Italuminum can explain the second one. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6018/...a7be5072_b.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6130/...a3c6398e_z.jpg |
i can't explain much, except that I don't see any of your pics.

What ever became of the C and V photo challenge?

I like the idea of this thread! The best I can do is a couple from yesterday, forgot the camera this morning.
That's one BIG Banyan tree (and my Trek if you can see it lol) http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6149/...2ca93b4b_b.jpg 1981 Trek 613 by (cobrabyte), on Flickr and an afternoon storm rolling in: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6016/...efb079fd_b.jpg Grey Clouds by (cobrabyte), on Flickr on a local bike forum I frequent, there is a "daily pictures" thread, where folks post random pictures of anything they like. It's one of my favorite threads, I hope something similar catches on here. |

This is not my bike, it's the one I picked up for Olek last night. It's in the back of my truck to go to the LBS for shipment to Pittsburgh.
Funny thing, I've suddenly developed a taste for Fuji. It's a pretty bike.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=212202 |

I'm pretty sure I know what that is, but you told me what you do, so I'd be cheating.

You said not bike related was OK? I have had so many negative things
about the pictures I have posted in the past, I said I wasn't going to post any more... But, there is a story with this one. This bird has been hanging around our house for over ten years. You can see the breast markings make it east to recognize. He, she, will get in the wheelbarrow when I mix new dirt for the flower pots and dig for bugs, there aren't any because it is NEW dirt. But we have to dig around and throw dirt every where in the process. When we sit in the yard it will get under our chairs, in the shade, and just sit there like it is listening to your conversation. It is a very clean bird, private bath, it won't let any other birds in the bird bath. We call it Nuisance! http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/7616/birdtc.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/5391/bird2a.jpg |
My Univega Competizione after this morning's 30-mile-ish ride. It's set up as a single speed, and the route has a few rolling hills, so I like having to work a bit on this bike. Plus it's orange!

-1 for rampant dandelions --Not a rain barrel but a composter --Not dandelions but marigolds (natural pest protection for my organic garden) But I'm mostly psyched because the left-side crank arm didn't come lose on this ride as it has in the past. I was worried it was toast. Neal |

It probably is the bong, holiday. I've seen photos of Neal in his youth. Uh huh. . . .

A recent scene of what's in my garage. I picked up my 1st E-stay bike over the weekend. (Always wanted one!) Here, I'm battling with the stuck seat post. Eventually, I got it off, but required drilling a hole to bolt the top to the post in order to prevent only the top from twisting.
A bunch of flips on the floor in the background, and my wife's Schwinn Super Le Tour to the right. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6138/...3ab1cedc_b.jpg |
