Turning off "Like" notifications

Hi, is there any way to turn off "Like" notifications (i.e. the red number beside the Bell) ? I'm happy that people agree in some aspect what was written but would prefer not to see that click trigger up there. There is no distinction between a "Like" trigger, an incoming PM or some other notice.
