Cyclist assaults child.

This is insane. Look at the way this dude grabs the little girl while she's cowering and clearly afraid, all while the parent is yelling at him not to touch her. Then he apparently assaults the guy video'ing with his bike. Nuts.

Being a "cyclist" is incidental, here....

Enlightenment will come slowly to him :(

billridesbikes 06-04-20 03:56 PM

One water bottle, so likely lives close by. Probably tells friends that he’s “laid-back”.

He can get enlightened in a cell. And assault on a minor - if he has kids they could be taken from him.

The twitter detectives are on it. They will find the perp.

They'll find the perp? I think "jerk" at the least, is more appropriate.

IMO "perp", which is short for "perpetrator of a crime" - in this case a crime against a child - is a greater condemnation than "jerk".

That bicyclist was really lucky that the guy retreated rather than defended himself when first being attacked or when the bicyclist grabbed the flyers from the little girl. Had that been my child I think the outcome for that bicyclist would have been far different. I hope the bicyclist when found gets charged for attacking the little girl and the guy recording it.

Cheers

Criminal charges won't be his only difficulty when his name becomes known.

No kidding. As a parent, when you see something like this, the mama/papa bear instinct kicks right in. That dude is way bigger than me but I wouldn't have noticed.

This is ridiculous. I just hope the very, very small number of users on this forum who would stick up for him don't post something here. (You know them). Now's not the time.

Stick up for this adult male grabbing a little girl forcibly as she's backing away, afraid, while being yelled at "don't touch her"?

blazin 06-04-20 05:50 PM

Apparently the guy is not just heartless enough to attack a child but idiotic enough to then post his ride to Strava. Twitter claims he’s been found through Strava. I’m impressed the cyber sleuth gave the information to authorities and is not heeding calls to make the name public. Innocent until proven guilty should still be the operative presumption, not mob justice.

Holy ****, and I was just thinking how stupid he was to do this fully aware he's being video'd. But, Strava?! OMG...

Moe Zhoost 06-04-20 06:01 PM

He needs to turn himself in ... now.

grumpy MAMIL must’ve had some bad chafing to put him in such a sour mood....

Dude looked like he was 'roid raging.

Ross520 06-04-20 06:41 PM

Hopefully he is charged with a felony. Putting your hands on little girls is one of the most deployable thing's you can do, especially considering the fact that she had done nothing to the man.

I can only imagine what a person who is willing to assault children in a public place, while being recorded, is capable of doing in private.

Sick individual, and definitely an abuser.

Unfortunately, there are a few who undoubtedly do agree with him, but they will likely stay silent.

Cyclist0108 06-04-20 06:53 PM

First post under the video: Vegas has 200/1 odds he is an undercover cop.

If he goes to jail the authorities ahd best be sure the other inmates don't find out why he's in there. They usually have very little tolerance for child abusers and nasty things often happen to said child abuser.

I agree. Wasn't intending to minimize.

I was walking down a sidewalk on a campus of a local school and minding my business when suddenly, out of a blue, I was hit and knocked down by a female student on a bike who apparently had no interest of negotiating her way, but just forced it. I got up yelling and tried to run after her, only to see her knocking down the next pedestrian down the sidewalk.

At the general level, one might think that, as a minority often discriminated against, cyclist may be helped in staying compassionate. However, on campuses cyclists dominate and thuggish behavior is not that rare. In terms of the distribution of the traits of behavior, including the extremes, you will get everything in any group anywhere.
