I love the way they shipped my fork...

I mean really... They couldn't find a box so the just shoved it through one side; Totally looks intentional, wouldn't have fit in that box otherwise.

*Luckily, super cheap fork for a cruiser, shockingly came through unscathed.

Maybe they had the Shanghai Shivers and were delirious? That is some quality packing!

Reminds me of the time my neighbor shipped a Dutch bike back from Europe. He packed it himself, and when it wouldn’t fit in the bike box, he cut off a corner for the handlebars to stick out of and taped another, handlebar-sized box over the bars. It’s been awhile, but I think he might have cut holes for the pedals, too. Made it across the Atlantic pretty much unscathed.

If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.

Well I won't complain anymore if I get something like 2 water bottle cages in a huge box.

???

It's more work and slower to push the fork through the box.

LOL I once ordered a padded laptop bag for my little travel-size laptop. It came packed in a box the size of a TV! It really could have been shipped in a large padded envelope or one of those blue-and-white Tyvek envelopes Amazon is so fond of, considering the laptop bag itself is little more than a padded envelope with a zipper on one end.

I've had empty boxes delivered to my work place. Shippers fault putting a 35 pound hunk of metal in a thin already used corrugated box.

maybe they want to alert the shipping employees not to put anything heavy on top of it?

Kapusta 01-27-21 08:52 PM

Maybe the box shrank.
