https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1f356178a5.jpg
Just wondering if this Colnago is real or fake? If real...what is the value. Never seen a BB without the ace of clubs. Decals do not look right. Forgive me for the poor pics Appreciate any and all help. Thank you https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...35b50356cf.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ec541961e2.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1bcb722879.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e64b04e474.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...07673534f8.jpg |
Hard to tell from the poor pictures but the lug work as well as the stamps on the rear drops are suspicious looking to me. JMHO, Ben

...if you're thinking about buying it, you probably want to get better pictures or an in person inspection. I've only seen one or two of them, but the lugs on the ones I've seen were filed to thin them. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...bf3c6314b4.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...056be791b8.jpg |
Could it be a late Colnago Superissimo or C96?
|
The fork appears to be "genuine" Colnago, but also appears to have deep pitting. It is possible the fork is not original with the frame.
I don't see any issues with the logos. You're probably into the early to mid 1990's for a time period. I think I have a mainstream Colnago from the mid 90's without a bottom bracket cutout. I'll have to check models, but under bottom bracket cable routing with a plastic guide is easiest to do without the cutout. Obviously make sure you have some clover cutouts on the lugs, probably the top tube/downtube lugs at he head tube. Also it should have either a clover on the seat stay caps. Possibly a "Colnago" script on the caps. Also a clover on the rear brake bridge. |
C90, Columbus Thron Super.
Paint will blow off with the faintest of breezes :) |
Ultra terrible photos, but I have seen a lot of fake Colnagos, and never once have I seen one where someone went through the effort to carve "Colnago" into the dropouts. Based on that alone I'm 99.9% certain this is real.

Thank you for all the responses.
Much appreciated What would this be the worth ? |

...I can't tell you a value without better pictures. I see some rust on the chrome fork, but it's easy enough to prime and paint that to match the frame, once you treat the corrosion. It's a common problem with chrome fork Colnago's I have encountered. If the rest of the paint is good, and it's not some dreadful mismatch of components, with that issue to drive down the value. I would think you're looking at $600-700. But without better photos, that's just a WAG. The brand name is a positive, because it seems everyone wants a Colnago. I did too, until I got one and discovered it was a solid ride, but no more so than some other bicycles I've owned and ridden. |

Downmarket Campagnolo, rough condition, usually indicates surprises when you take things apart.
$650 then you can tell if Colnago is for you. Assuming it fits. not the correct size? smile and wave. |

not the correct size? smile and wave. So, good for around 5'8 or so to 5'11 or so, give or take a bit. |
I would agree it has Colnago dropouts Colonogo seat stay markings under atone of iffy but nice looking paint and no doubt fork. So legit but not great may have been bent and rrebuilt. the pic of the rear would seem to indicate it's out of alignment could be the image or wheel/ set but looks a good 20-30m out of line to me. So you need to check this before you buy.
