Bike Forums - Hi from Maidstone UK!

I’ve had bikes for most of my life and dipped in and dipped out, but always had 2 wheels in the garage. Like most of my generation- I’m 64- We rode to school, we rode to college, we rode to work. At one time I did 32 miles a day in the early 80’s as I was skint and it was saving me £17 a week in train-fares!

I have an alloy Chinese MTB, a British Eagle MTB that I’ve put an electric hub on and a Puch Mistral that I was given a few days ago! I can’t believe that it was free, its not even in bad condition- it just needed new tyres and tubes.

I bet my sons on here somewhere- he’s got into bikes again during the Lockdown and he’s got a few- but he’s really into distance and fitness- so Ill not be going out with him for a bit. In a blink of an eye and can remember teaching him and his 2 brothers how to ride without stabilisers…Now he’s teaching his kids to do the same.

The Puch has renewed interest. It just goes to show how the world has changed that someone would give this away- here’s to recycling!
