Another "What don't you like about my bike" thread, anybody?

I seem to recall seeing a thread like this a while ago, figured I'd revive the concept. Post pics of your bike, or tell people what you like/dislike about theirs. I'll start off.

Let the flames begin!

Cool looking stem but the cockpit is just wack. Get longer bars and shorter brake levers.

xkillemallx16 01-01-11 12:32 PM

ouch.

NateRod 01-01-11 12:33 PM

stem, bars, levers, RED

FunkyStickman 01-01-11 12:36 PM

The bars are ridiculously narrow, to the point that I don't know if it's even safe. And a white brake cable housing would not stick out so much against the top tube.

Other than that, I'd rock it.

evilcryalotmore 01-01-11 01:06 PM

red. Crank arms are little off..

ImChris 01-01-11 03:54 PM

I'll be next. Here it is, in its all stock glory. Roast away...

Looks good! Is that a half-link chain? Looks really thick.. But, reflectors!

But here's mine. A lot will probably not like the green, but I love it.

waterbottle tree. Like comeon who actually rides there bike enough to need water...

Looks good. nice seatpost, we are twinziessa

PeDDeR27 01-01-11 04:28 PM

Funny thing is, I've actually had some kids tell me that "water bottle holders look stupid on fixie's." They were hanging out at the "fixie spot" where all the little kids stand around with their bikes all day long and ride around in circles.

xkillemallx16 01-01-11 04:37 PM

i need some butt rockets as well. green matches the tange tubing stickers, ha!

NateRod 01-01-11 04:39 PM

Not a fan of the green (anymore - my old bike was green as **** - probably just got really fed up with it).

Otherwise I dig it. Looks like a sensible build.

Truthfully, i just did reflector removal and random sticker removal and completly overlooked the ones on my peddels. They shall be removed soon! haha

The chain is some sort of KMC chain. Its not a half link, its just a different design. I dont recall what exact type of chain it is, it is a thick, not normal chain design though.

As for your green, i dig it! Its a nice little bit of color to add! I'm thinking about throwing a little color somewhere on the T1. Not crazy tarck, but maybe a little bit of personality. Kinda like your bike, the green is enough, not too much, just enough to add a little flavor.

It's a KMC Z710. I have one now. It's alright... a bit heavy, but strong.

It's KMC's kool chain; I run one at the moment on my commuter, not a bad chain for the $15 I paid for it

But seriously, I think you could've routed the brake cables better under the tape. Why do they only get covered halfway?

jpaschall 01-01-11 05:37 PM

I didn't do it. I had my LBS do it while they were working on some other stuff for me. I have no idea why they ran it that way. The bars have a hole at the exit point for internal routing to the levers, but they still should have wrapped on top of the cable.

ImChris 01-01-11 05:37 PM

Sweet! Thanks for the info about the chain happypills! Sometimes i hate that about 'complete' bikes. Alot of the parts on the bike are listed as "Bontrager approved" parts. Its 'kool' to find out exactly what they are. haha
