Any 650c front wheels out there?
Hi, I am trying to find a good 650c road wheel anyone have one or a source for one?
Thanks , Ben please PM me |
I know that 650B is all the rage these days, but your LBS can still build you up a wheel based on a 571 rim. Or, you can use a 559 wheelset and adjust your brake pads 6mm.lower, which is what a lot of recumbent riders have done to gain capability to use wider tires.

Thanks for the info but I am really looking for a 650c front wheel to run a 23 for a TT bike and I was referred to this forum knowing that a lot of folks use them on their recumbents. Best, Ben |

You can contact Velocity Wheels about there A23 650c rim. It's a very nice rim and is tubeless compatible. They can built you a front wheel with their race hub and several options for spokes. https://www.velocityusa.com/product/rims/a23-571

There's nothing magical about factory-built wheels. A good LBS will be able to build up a wheel from whatever rims/spokes/hub you specify.
Premier Tactical and Yoeleo make 650c wheels. Yoeleo will also sell you just the rims. |

Did you find a 650c front wheel? I have a HED 3 trispoke front that I don't need, I just use the rear. I bought the pair off of eBay. Today, 2 years later, (since I never planned to use the front) I noticed the front has a dent in the rim. I would let the buyer bend it back so they know exactly what transpires (rather than me bending it back and saying the rim is perfect).
Email me if interested. I can send pictures. larrylemme@gmail.com |
