ISO and for trade thread part 5

Starting fresh because the last one is too long. :)

Old one is now closed but here's a link to the last page so we can continue.

New thread, yay!

Well, just to get things "rolling", ISO a 28 h rear hub to go with a Royce 28 hole high flange front hub. Prefer Campy free hub, but will consider 126 spaced freewheel also.

Wanted - French threaded Nuovo Record or Record bottom bracket cups.

See the last page of the old thread for pictures of various goodies I am offering in trade.

Bring this back, a 27.2 aero Campy post for a 27.0 Campy aero post

Looking for transparent green brake cable housing. Used or new 80s-ish would be ideal. Around 10' would be great, willing to buy or trade. More than 10' is ok.

In case you or others don't know, you don't have to post to a thread to subscribe. There is a dropdown menu near the top right marked "Thread Tools".

Wanted - One Simplex top-tube cable clip.
Will trade Campy equivalent or any of these clips that strike your fancy:

It's hardly obvious. I learned it from a forum member.

Not like I haven't looked, and I'm usually pretty thorough about exploring interface options.

You can turn that 27.2 post into a 27.0 very easily.

What if I like announcing that I’m subscribed? :thumb:

I have one that I've done just that with. I recently sold the frame I was using it in so I'd be willing to offer it for trade if that would work for you.

The mobile version has a star next to the thread title, just click on it.

Brent, I can't help with the Simplex cable-clip, but I am curious: what's the clamp on the top right? It looks like a cable guide but the diameter of the clamp is too small for a main tube. Does it fit on a chain stay? Plus it's got that small hole at the top, perpendicular to the what I assume is the channel for the cable. I can't quite figure out its purpose. Care to enlighten me?

Yes, it's a chainstay guide for a rear derailleur. It has the wing on top to catch a slapping chain.

Yes. Made by Suntour. What you don't see in the photo is the corresponding large hole in the "wing" for the cable housing.

It's been awhile since I've been active a-tradin' on here; taking the new thread as an opportunity to get back in the action!

ISO:

- 8sp Shimano 6401 600/Ultegra tricolor 8sp DT shifters (gotta be pretty nice - would complete an NOS/EXC mix group)
- Mavic 862 FD, braze-on (also looking for a very clean example here - ideal is straight trade for my EXC Mavic 860):
VeloBase.com - Component: Mavic 862
- Simplex retrofriction DT shifters, 'unbranded', no 'Simplex' stamp/engraving (i.e. version used w/Mavic SSC group)
- 36º Mavic 500RD/550RD, 501 or 531 FW *REAR* hub (just scored a FRT from a member after posting!)
- Carradice Bagman Original QR (Sport)

For TRADE:
- Mavic 860 FD (EXC, near-perfect 28.6 clamp version, small flake of chrome missing inside cage; will trade for Mavic 862):
VeloBase.com - Component: Mavic 860
- NOS first-gen Dura Ace chainrings, various (sold a bunch of these a couple years ago, decided to let a couple more go)
- Stronglight 144bcd 51t chainring, EXC, practically new - made for 107 crank linked below, engraved Stronglight logo, very nice:
VeloBase.com - Component: Stronglight 107
- Shimano SH-M089LE size 45 WIDE SPD shoes, tried a couple times on a trainer, never worn outdoors, essentially brand new
- pair of Veloflex Master 700x22 blue/tanwall (measured 24mm wide on H+Son TB14 rims), maybe couple hundred miles tops on these?
- Paul Components E-lever brake lever(s), silver (good shape, PO painted barrel adjusters silver to match, I have both L & R levers)
- probably a bunch more stuff I've not catalogued from the bins in the basement...

To all re: the Campy 27.2 aero post

Thanks but I want an original 27.0

9volt 02-18-18 05:06 PM

ISO 26.4mm seat posts. Need a 26.4 for a 1990ish MTB and another for a 70s-early 80s road bike. Rider condition is ok. Lots to trade, willing to buy.

Could also use a 1970s 26.6 or 26.4 SR Royal seat post.

diomekes 02-18-18 05:30 PM

Still looking for Shimano 600 toe clips (with triangular clamp) in size L, my size LL are too big.

Also looking for a Mountain LX right shifter (M453) for my new to me Panasonic MC-5500.

3speedslow 02-18-18 07:15 PM

Size large 600 toe clips I have are not in the best of shape. Sorry!

No problem, thanks for checking. If they're usable, but just not pretty, then I'm still interested in buying, since I commute on the Ironman they're for.

3speedslow 02-18-18 08:37 PM

Let me get a pic. Any interest on the set of pedals they are attached to?
