Tall Carre LeJeune

SOLD
Seat tube: 62cm center to center
Top tube: 61cm center to center

Frame and fork only - $200
Frame, fork, headset, and bottom bracket - $270
Complete bike as shown - $750
Shipping at actual cost.

Paint has its share of blemishes, chips, and touch-ups. The worst is on the inside of the drive side fork leg, shown in bottom photo.
Overall a very nice looking bike and a great ride.

Rims are arc-en-ciel with Challenge Paris Roubaix tubular tires. Seatpost is Simplex alloy with steel rail clamps. Saddle is Unicanitor buffalo. I think the photos show everything else.

What a beauty. If this were my size I would be all over it.

I've met Brent and I've seen this bike - seller and bike are both top drawer. Some tall person needs to buy this and remove the temptation from me. :)

GLWS, Brent.

I think you're confused, YOU need to buy this so WE are not tempted. ;)

Wow, great price by a great seller.

What is the stand-over height (distance from top of top tube to the ground)?

Yes. Excellent. You're doing a good thing by saving some of us larger folks from ourselves.:thumb:

That bike was the inspiration for the paint job currently on my Bob Jackson.

Le Juene used to be fairly popular, but not too popular, around Central Park and New York City in general. Some were NICE!, others were less expensive but all were red, deep red. Although it was many years later and on the other coast, when it came time to repaint Bob, red it was.

I am so very sorely tempted.

To echo the others, gorgeous bike!

Nice bike and it sounds like it is going to a good home! This forum is great. That bike would’ve been double that$$$ on eBay.

Bike arrived today. Get a bike from Brent, it'll be properly boxed!

This is my first high end French bike. I can hardly wait for it to dry out around here so I can take it for a ride. It's 2cm taller than what I typically ride, which is proper for a French bike, no?

It's real, and it's spectacular.

I told everybody that Brent and the bike were top drawer. Gugie listened, but did the rest of you? Nooooooooooooo.

That Lejeune went to about the best buyer possible - well, maybe Mr. Lejeune CV-6 would have been okay, too. But this is a great outcome.. A good seller moves a good bike to a good buyer, and my wallet is not impacted in any way.

I looked at it many times but I'm out of hooks!
Also, I don't have any red bikes. How do I not have any red bikes? Inconceivable!

You sir need to learn about the zero bike concept. Somebody, somewhere has an empty hook that you could borrow.
