wow - Pedro's Bike Lust polish
 

My neighbor gifted me this along with a bucket of Pedro's items as she was cleaning out her garage. I hadn't tried it for a year and just did. Holy crap this is great stuff. In fact, it recommended using on tires and when I did this, I uncovered (I wasn't able to notice it as it blended in with the dirt of the tire) an embedded thorn which promptly started a leak :) :(

I don't know what the prevailing opinion is of this stuff. I only have Finish Line's spray polish to compare it to and I like Pedro's much more. Much less streaking and better after buffed feel. Makes bike look fantastic too.

Are they still even in business? A google search came up unsuccessful.

I never really used polish until in the shop and I had a racer from New Zealand who was shocked to find I wasn't. He wanted some of the Pedros Bike Lust so we bought a large jug and poured him some. It's amazing. Muc Off stuff doesn't seem to come close except for their Matte finish stuff. I actually ran out recently but can't find any at any of my suppliers. Will be waiting patiently for it to return to inventory.

I use it, too. Hoping it's just another Covid supply chain issue. Great stuff.

I'm another happy user. Easy to apply and really shines. I have Ti and steel so I don't have to be too careful but seems as if it would be great for fragile carbon.;)

I love that stuff. Looks great on painted frames and bare Ti frames.

Having misplaced my can of Finish Line polish I'm interested in trying this stuff now. Looked on Amazon - seem to have a few options from various non-Prime sellers at ludicrous prices. Finish line is expensive too. I think I'll go back to Pledge - cleans, makes the bike shine, and it smells lemony fresh too. Just be careful with it on uncoated decals (such as old Litespeeds) - it can take them off.

I've used the White Lightening Bike Wash (aka Wash & Shine), and am close to running out. I see this seems to be discontinued or at least replaced by some type of foaming "Easy Wash" stuff. May try the Pedro's.

Never used it. How different is it than high quality car polish?

I may just actually stroll into the nearby LBS and see what their normal stocked bike wash product is. FYI, be a bit wary of that amazon seller, not the best rating %age. The well rated resellers all seem to be about $10 higher.

EDIT: Then again, for whatever reason, there's a bunch of separate listings for this product on Amazon.. this link seems to bring everyone down to about the same price and the better rated resellers aren't as pricey.

Definitely will check it out as well. Currently I just use regular dish soap and water or car wash soap for washing and then spray on turtle wax on my steel bike

That was the first amazon listing that came up. I was simply pointing out that the stuff is available at the retail level, and shipping is free.

Gotcha.. agree. for some reason, somewhere along the line this thread became about (non-evident) supply chain problems (or even questioning if Pedros was still in business)

Car wash soap and furniture polish for me, cheap and easy. But I've also gone over the frame with rubbing compound and automotive polish to correct paint imperfections, so it shines really well with nothing on it. I just use the furniture polish for quick wipedowns in between washes.

Pledge furniture polish. Works great, cheap, available at the grocery store.

Seriously, what is the difference between this and a high quality automotive spray wax. If it is that incredible, I may have to check it out.

No icky waxes to clean off later is my experience. If there are some all silicone car sprays they would probably similarly.

Yeah, I've been using the ceramic spray touch up wax, so there is no polishing required. This Pedros sounds similar.
