Wheelset upgrade recommendations?

I'm looking for a reasonably priced wheelset upgrade for my CX bike.

My requirements are as follows:
-lightweight - around 1500 grams if possible
-6 bolt disc wheels
-front throughbolt and rear QR
-about $400USD budget
-will run 30MM-40MM tires
-will run as clincher but tubeless compatible is a plus.
-probably looking at aluminium at this pricepoint.
-I ride pavement and some gravel, and don't abuse the wheels very much.

I came across the Novatec CXD wheels on Wiggle and ProbikeKit which look pretty good.

Any better ideas?

I bought a set hunt gravel aluminum wheels for around $470 and weigh 1600+ grams.

I got these and they are pretty good. Wish I upgraded the hubs though...

What did you not like about the Psimet hubs?

They are just okay. I would like something that spins a little freer. Psimet mentioned that they do have extra bushings that would keep the water/mud out. I'm a fair weather rider and don't race so this is a little more than I needed thus I could have gone for something with less protection.

When I first installed the wheels it felt like my original wheels rolled faster going downhills and stuff. Maybe I needed more time for them to break-in. It wasn't bad just a little noticeable...

I picked up these and really like them for the price: https://www.competitivecyclist.com/m...elset-clincher

Have not tried running them tubeless yet but I plan to in the near future. Unless you are competing or have a super nice frame, I would be surprised if you would notice or really need the 150~ g difference to get down to the 1500g range.
