Latest update makes BF almost non-responsive for me now

Latest update makes BF almost non-responsive for me now because of the adds that take forever to update and make my BF window hang for minutes+

Using an older Mac Pro with only 4G ram. Same behaviour with both Chrome and Safari . browsers :(

What kind of ads do you think are causing the slow down? Are they video ads?

Also, if you can screenshot some of the ads that are the culprits, that would really help us get a better understanding of what's going on.
